HELP! 300D return line.
I just did a diesel purge before I change all three of my filters. I stopped about half way on my normal course and it was almost gone already. I see that the return hose to my jug is only dripping and the diesel purge is still green when it would be black at this point.
So far I have checked the return line to the tank, return from the motor to the spin on filter, pulled and checked all five of the injector return lines(they are new). Still very little return diesel fuel. I have not changed the filters yet but can not see that would cause any of this????? Edit: I will pull the banjo bolt and check it as well.

Sorry for the double post, but I have found the problem, I think.
I went ahead and changed the filters and the return is good now. The car has been getting very slow this last week, but the fuel milage has been the same 26mpg. Am I right in thinking that the spin on filter was so bad, that the IP was pulling the return fuel back to the injectors because it was the least resistance fuel avalible?

Is it possible if I understand your post. The filter was so obstructive only slightly less than the totally required fuel to run properly on demand was getting to the injection pump? That way there would be no excess fuel to return to the tank or your jug. With a new filter and now more than adaquate fuel available there is excess available to return from the pump. Or am i confused? The pump could not pull back the return fuel that was not there.
