Once while driving my old Beetle down a country road, I drove through a thick swarm of exploding juice-bugs. Not really sure what they were, except disgusting. No wiper fluid either. The car was absolutely covered in goo. Something I'll never forget.
But yea, I still get bugs on my windshield.

I live in Doddridge County.....and came very close to hitting a turkey a couple of weeks ago.....I imagine that wild turkeys would do a bit of damage to the windshield and the car.....I must have startled it, and the damn bird flew right down the middle of the road.....impressive wingspan...... ![]() SB

I was actually in rural Illinois at the time, on a road between corn fields. I thought it was smoke before they started hitting the car. They reminded me of cave crickets because they were light snot colored, and turned to goo as soon as they touched the windshield. I was left with a bunch of slime and some twiching legs and body parts.
