fuel delivery problem
i am completely stumped on this one and hoping someone else has some advice. the car is an '83 240D manual running on b-99. i have just converted it to a 2 tank wvo car. i have about 5 years experience converting vehichles to run on wvo. here's the situation in cronilogical order:
1. car ran fine, slight engine shake at idle 2. converted to wvo-2 tanks, hyraforce 3port valves, fphe, hih, seperate filter for wvo than diesel. 3. for the wvo conversion the flow of fuel is modified to be: tank-filter-lift pump-injection pump-tank. 4.primed the car on biodiesel. started and died immidiately. 5. checked for air leaks(none) 6. tested flow of lift pump while cranking(bad LP) 7. replaced lift pump assembly with a new one. 8. car fired right up, ran for 10 minutes, started shaking and died. 9.rerouted fuel line back to stock configuration: tank-lift pump-filter-injection pump-tank 10.car starts and runs fine 11. replaced the pressure regulating banjobolt thing on the outlet side of the injection pump. 12. rerouted fuel to wvo configuration 13. car starts again, but now surges, dies ocasionally at idle is there any way to test the i.p.? i am going to test the injestors monday. ???????????????????????????????????????????????? |
