I'm trying to remove the ignition switch and I don't seem to be successful at the moment. Does it just 'pull out' from the back of the ignition cylinder?

I'm also confused at the actual part that is sold here on MS Fastlane
There are two listed for my MB with the same # but look different.

There is quite an involved procedure from the SM to remove tumbler, which may need to be done to get to the part you need. PM me if interested. You may have to see what you've got before ordering part, but "ask Phil".

You have to put the key in the on position, then pull the harness plug out from the ignition switch. Once you remove the plug you'll find 3 phillips screws that secure the switch to the lock assembly.
Both switches are the same, just different manufacturers.
