Just me or does the 240D like 1/2 way mark on oil dipstick?

Seems like my car like the 1/2 way point on the dipstick.

I assume the presumption is that when topped off to the full mark it eats oil down to the halfway mark quickly and stays there.

The proper oil mark is just below the top line, if anything goes above the top line, its usually sucked out by the PCV. I keep it like that and hardly ever need top ups.
