240D ac hose connection

i have a cracked metal tube on the pressure side of my ac hose.

the crack is in the tube after the rubber hose that runs under the oil pan. it's at a mounting bracket just before a threaded fitting with the high pressure side port built into it.

i have a spare which I just took off - i seem to be dealing with an assembly - first, metal tubing at the compressor (which is joined to the low pressure tubing side - the whole assembly bolts to the back of the compressor,) then the rubber hose under the oil pan, then the metal tubing that ends with the threaded fitting and built in port.

so, in this case, the rubber hose between the two metal tubes on my parts car replacement assembly seems to turn against the fittings that hold it to the tubes.
i'm wondering if this is normal, or will the hose leak if i install it.
also, is it possible to disassemble this tubing-rubber hose-tubing assembly without special tools?
