Cold start issues
Starting in the morning she fires up nicely and idles great for about 30 seconds. I have not timed it exactly. After that she shakes and rattles and the idle is not that great. As soon as the engine warms up a bit all is good until the next morning. I assume when the glow plugs shut off is when the shaking starts. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Thanks for looking ..Udo 1991 300D 2.5 Turbo |

How are the filters? When was the last time the injectors were looked at? Also, when were the prechambers inspected?

a 91 should have the GP's running for around 3 minutes after starting, so if it's getting rough after 30 seconds, it's probalby air in the system.

You could have a bad glow plug. With one bad one I experience hard start and a little extra shaking. I'd check em.
