Parts IDs please (pics)
I've been reading some of dieselgiant's how to's and I have a couple of questions.
Red is the vacuum switchover valve, blue is ALDA, correct? What it the yellow circled part? ![]() I was looking over the transmission vacuum valve lever replacement DIY. On his, the transmission vacuum box in on the valve cover. Where's mine? ![]() And what is this? ![]() TIA

"Yellow" in the first picture is the firewall linkage turning point for the "gas Pedal" to the injection pump linkage.
The switches are missing on your car. The black plastic pie shaped unit at the top center of the valve cover is the actuating mechanism. The switches should be just forward of the black plastic unit. Yellow in the third picture is your horn. Dave

Thank you.
I wonder where they went. Shouldn't there be vacuum lines that were supposed to go to the levers?

I removed mine. they are not nessicary on our cars( some cars they DO control shifting) and are just part of the EGR, which it seems that someone has already been kind enough to disable for you.
note that if you look under the passenger side wheel well, there will be another horn there, too. one is high note, one low. |
