Source for Side Window Squeegees?

Y'all,

The side window squeegees on my '84 300td are pretty crusty, are breaking off in chunks, and make a fingernails-on-a-blackboard sound when the windows are moved down. I've searched the archives and found a number of threads that mention them, but none that mention a source. The most informative thread is this one, but searching on the P/N 126 725 03 65* in FastLane gives me "Sorry, this product is temporarily unavailable..." Where is this part available besides the dealer?

Thanks,
Shawn

*According to the thread, this is the "universal" P/N for these, so they should work on my W123.

Im looking for the same thing for my 82 sedan. Im planning to buy the parts below. Give Phil or Roy a call...

Front insert part...(same part # as my sedan)

For the rear...(for the wagoneers)

Unlike my Toyota, you just replace the rubber insert itself instead of the whole wiper.

Hope this helps,
dd

I was astounded a few weeks ago to find that NONE of the local parts places carry wiper blade inserts anymore.

At some point within the last year, they all stopped carrying them. With Bosch wipers selling at $25 a piece, I was looking at $75 for new wiper blades on my wagon!!!!!!!!!!! That's nuts.

Fortunately a little digging around in my garage produced a brand new set.

NOT The Windshield Wipers

"What we've got here is a failure to communicate."

I'm talking about the side door window squeegees, not the windshield wiper blades or windshield wiper blade refills. The latter is not a problem -- Rain-X brand works great.

Since the thread has already been hijacked....

My local Auto Zone had the inserts behind the counter, not on display. Walmart does not have inserts on display anymore either. Guess they didn't make enough money with inserts!
