I had a throttle cable break (in the firewall) when I was 300 miles from home. It was inaccessible with the tools I had. Cruise control saved my butt. I rigged up cordage to the throttle, out the hood, through the window, tied to a screwdriver for a handle. Once the car got above 30 mph I'd engage the cruise and it was easy. Fun part was driving through city traffic. Made it home with no problems. Looks like you are set with help. Good luck.

![]() Very rare occasion I get a chance to do stuff like that, but every now and then I need to pull a McGyver myself. Years ago I had to do stuff a lot more often than now, older cars...ehem That whole thing you did, seams like it was a bit of fun..

Just got back... everything went off without a problem and enjoyed the nice ride back up to Starkville.
