Another 300D to the stable

We added another 300D turbo last night. A very well cared for 1984 with 307,000 miles. This thing has NO blow by. I think it could start without the glow plugs, it starts so well. The sunroof works like it is brand new, all except one window works, the locks work, even the cruise control works.

I have an air conditioning leak to chase down, but the compressor has been replaced. It needed a new antenna and we picked one from a pick and pull yesterday.

The best part? This is for my 18 year old son that has seen the ways of owning a MB diesel (smart kid huh????) He is truly excited about this car.

I just need to keep him reeled in from "pimping it out" too much.

Pictures to come....

LOL My wife wants a TD (and I think I know someone that is selling one :-D ). I would not mind a coupe.

I should take pics, but have been working on both of them today... in the 100 degree heat.

Congratulation on another W123 diesel. You know that you just can not have one.

(I know have three and a parts car with a strong engine and transmission. I need to find a wagon in need of an engine.)

I don't envy you for that.

Well, I guess I kind of do, since I have to work on a gasser in this heat.
