Smile 1979 300 Sd

Time for my first tranny filter/oil change. Anyone know what type of fluid?

Dexron-III/Mercon ATF.

Do not forget to drain the torque converter, it holds a significant amount of the total fluid.

300 SD tranny

Thanks Lance......now, how many qts. of fluid and I am to assume I just "snug" the pan bolts back up w/o a torque wrench?

About 7qts with the torque converter, although you should start with 4 and top it up from there.
