fuse troubles

I have a 1984 300sd the problem is when you open the driver side door the #15 fuse blowes. So i have disconnected the door switch and just dont get light on when you open the driver side door. Does any on know what the culpret might be? relay or something?

Good weather for shorts

You probably have a short to ground in one of the wires connecting that fuse to the circuits it protects. Most likely culprit is the wire from the door switch to the light fixture or relay (I don't know how the SD's wiring is configured). Your choices are to remove and inspect the wire until you find a bare spot that is touching something connected to the chassis, or abandon the old wire and run a new one in its place. Tedious but not difficult. Take your time, work slowly and carefully.
