Insurance for Euros
This is suggested by the thread about the 200D .....
I have an '84 240D Euro. State Farm, my insurer for 25 years, refused coverage because of graymarket status even tho I have a plaque on the door jamb stating that the car was brought into line with Federal statutes when it was imported in '87 (I have US headlights, US gauges, and the front end was jacked up somehow -- I suspect 300D springs). I found coverage at Geico with no trouble -- except that it is at least $100 per 6 months more expensive than State Farm.
Who else has experience with Euros, and what other insurance companies could I - and others - try, looking for better rates?
