How can I diconnect the vacuum to the doors?
I have a 1985 300TD with vacuum issues. I am trying to simplify and eliminate leak potential by removing the door locks from the system. Is there a main line that I can cap to turn the door locks manual?
Will this help resolve other potential system problems like the engine not shutting down and hard shifts? Any help is always appreciated Karl |

Just disconnect the yellow line under the hood and plug it. That will disable the locking system.

That depends on where the vacuum leaks are located. The EGR control valves on the valve cover are also likely culprits if they are still installed.
