That's strange, if you put a vacuum on one side and the other side is vented, the doors should either lock or unlock. Are the vacuum lines connected to the door actuators? Have the lines been plugged? Will the actuators work if you apply vacuum to them directly.

Actually I think you answered my question. The first thing I did was to plug the yellow and yellow with gray stripe vac. lines at the firewall. I'm not sure about the routing of the vent lines, but I may have it plugged. I had the mityvac attached at the yellow/red stripe and yellow/green stripe lines on the pass. side floor just beyond the 4-way rubber connectors.

FYI, my door locks will not depress unless the door is closed.

douge..thanks for resurrecting this post. At one point I had everything working, and now the driver's door no longer locks everything, but the passenger side door will. Does this sound like a problem in the driver's door actuator/lock linkage or the passenger side's? Or somewhere in between the 2 front doors?

Btw, this is what I did to finally get everything working.

-replaced ip shutoff solenoid
-disconnected fuel door pod and ran the vac. lines straight to the trunk pod
-lubed the front door locks and rods and pinions etc inside front doors
-replaced all y's and 3 and 4 way connectors in the engine bay as well as vac. lines.
-siliconed the vac. line going into the vac reservoir that sits above the fuel tank in the trunk
