top door seal
Guys,
I'm needing to put top door seals in my 300CD. The old ones are shot, and only reach to within about an inch of the rear quarter window top seals, which leaves a gap through which I get tons of wind roar at highway speeds. Anyway, OEM cost is ~$470 per side. An ebay outfit sells both sides for $330 (from Thailand). I seem to recall this being discussed in the past but couldn't find the post(s) in my Google search. Anyone know anything about the quality of these parts? I like OEM and Fastlane when possible, but after 12 months of redeeming this thing from its PO's, my credit card would like a respite if the quality of aftermarket top seals is there. As usual, many thanks in advance! Chris

do you need to replace
Do you need to replace because yours are worn out, or just because you have am air gap.
I used black roofing compound out of the tube to create an artificial strip to cover the open air inch on my 300CD to connect the front and the rear window tops.... It doesn't look good real close up, but unless you are looking for it you don't notice it.
