My car pulls right as well.... my thoughts

I rebuilt the front end (and rear) during the first quarter of the year so everything is tight. I too have a pull right and I've had the car aligned by both MB dealers here in Dallas. Still pull right.

I've done every possible swap of tires thinkable (including pulling the spare). Still pulls right.

The latest thing I'm going to look at is springs and spring pads. Sound weird? Well, I have measure the distance from the ground, through the wheel center to the lip on the wheel arch left / right, front and rear. I've noticed that there is a difference left to right in ride hieght. My hypothisis is that either I have springs that have fatigued (car has 238K mi), or the rubber in the spring perches needs to be replaced.

I'd love to get everyone's thought on this. The next step (as soon as Rankashor returns my spring compressor ) is to pull the springs, decompress them and measure.

Wow - that is weird. When I rotated the tires last night, I used a hydraulic floor jack. In the front, I had to pump it to full extension to get enough clearance for the tires to spin. But I noticed that at full extension I could get the left tire to spin freely, but the right tire was still rubbing ground a bit!

I noticed it, but didn't think much of it until you comment.

Looking forward to others'thought on this, too

For what it's worth, when we swapped the front tires of our '92 Corolla, it started pulling to one side. Never did an alignment, and after those tires (all four) wore out, we replaced them with new ones and pulling stopped.

Might be unevenly worn tires causing the pull.

Just got back from the dealership again - this time they seem to have it. There is still about 1" of play in the wheel (technician made sure to note it), but it tracks straight.

The service manager, Greg Ryan did right by me. Can't say the same for his service rep. That guy never returned my call about the continuing pull, and was completely unapologetic.

Just wanted to finish off this thread on a positive note.
