48 states prove every day that pumping your own gas is safe for the average person.

I've pumped my own gasoline at Oregon card lock stations. I guess the law doesn't apply to those type of stations.

Like this? This was given to me by a friend. Feel free to use this as a template.

On the other hand, whoever mentioned that sticker that starts with 210 is right on the money for an OE "DIESEL" sticker - only problem is it's in black and white so it's not easily seen as this red one.

High resolution copy for reference should you want to use it

Nice Sticker

Hey, that's what I was looking for. What is it made of? How'd you make it? How'd you prep the area to get it really clean and smooth?

Thanks.

nice and clean area

One drop of biodiesel (B100) is way too much to get the area nice and clean. Believe me, I know.

I doubt a sticker would help much. Jobs like that get people into a kind of zombie routine. They grab the nozzle, open the lid, take off the cap and stick it in the hole without much thought about the process. You could have a pop-up diorama about the history of Diesel every time the fuel door is opened and some would probably not notice.

I didn't make it, my friend did. I don't know how he had it done. I just cleaned the surface with paint cleaner to get the spot nice and clean, wiped it dry and attached it.

Feel free to use it as a template to make many more, maybe even a group buy. I never got to talk to my other friend who sold me some stickers so I'll leave it up to anybody who wants to use it for a template to make more copies. The original "DIESEL" sticker is this one, however. This came from a car that "POS" previously owned.

Does it matter which way the Mercedes star points on the fuel cap?
