transmission celebration
I have been having rev'd up. hard shifts in my 300D ever since I bought the car back in the fall. I am sure that it was negatively affecting my mileage as well. I finally got a mightyvac and diagnosed the leak. I traced it back to the door lock element on the rear right door and the master vacuum switch. I replaced the switch on the drivers door and simply plugged the two vac lines coming in and out of the bad lock element. The shifts are as smooth as butter now!! YAHOO!!
Allright, now to the problem. My drivers side door does not unlock or lock any of the other doors unless the car is being driven, once I turn the car off the doors don't respond at all to the drivers door.. In other words when I park the car and try to lock the doors from the drivers side door nothing happens except the drivers side door locks. Does anyone have any sugfgestions for me

there is a check valve in the engine compartment that keeps the vacuum in the lock system. Check it with your newly acquired Mity Vac!
