nozzles for 617-952

About a year ago I purchased a set of nozzle tips on e-bay for my 1983
300D. The Bosch p/n is 434 250 120 (DN0SD261). These are German nozzles, which is why I bought them. Are these the correct # for this engine, and if not, can they still be used?

No, they are not correct. You need to use 240/ or 265.

This may help (couldn't get much from the Bosch site)

What would be the downside of using them?

There is actually an update to those.

You can use the SD 261 but the SD 265 can also be used with lower emissions (soot) as a result.
