Quesion about pressurizing coolant system

I'd like to pressurize the heater portion of my coolant system with a coolant system pressure tester. I actually want to pressurize WVO coolant lines, which are tapped into the heater loop, to then bleed are air out of high points. I'd like to do this when the system is cold but then the thermostat will be closed. Without the thermostat open I don't think I can pressurize the heater loop. Any suggestions?

It is hydraulic. If you pressurize one point then the entire coolant system will have pressure, the thermostat makes no difference at all.

But I'm pressuring the system from the coolant fill opening, which connects directly to the radiator. Isn't the radiator hydrologically separated from the engine/heater coolant when the thermostat is closed?

nope, just flow isolated. and only on one side. the return side is open. plus there are bypass passages in the thermostat as well. pressurize away, entire system will have equal pressure.
how are you going to get the air out of the heat exchange? you really need vents and flow, not pressure to get the air out.

I'm going to crack the the coolant fittings near at the high points until all air escapes and coolant starts coming out. I've also been toying with the idea of installing some kind of valve at the high points. Possibly a Schrader valve (valve used for filling tires with air).

I like to weld in hvac pressure taps...( I gots plenty of em...) they have 1/8" copper tubes on them, and 1/4" flare fittings with a schrader valve and a cap. most a/c suppliers have them in stock.
