Passenger side window
Hey every one,
I have a 1983 300cdt, my front passenger window makes a loud clicking or rolling thump when I try to roll it up using the switch. If I physically pulled the window up and then pressed on the switch it would stay up for awhile but now it just falls right down. needless to say I need to fix it as I park on the street. So my question is, Can I replace what ever needs to be fixed inside the door or is that something I should take to my mechanic? I am kinda savvy when it comes to doing work in my car. Thanks in advance |

If you can pull the window glass up by hand, your regulator assy is broken and will need repair or replacement. You can wedge the window in the closed position from the inside. You wii have to remove the regulator and rail assy to repair.

should be easy i am assumin on my 79 300d i just took the panel out unscrewed like 6 bolts and the regulator came out. had to switch the motorr to the new reg but it was easy enough. you may be able to weld the reg and save some cash but it broke on my car when this mechanic tried to fix it that way. so spent twice the amount to fix it.
