Why would an I4 be less balanced than an I6? I don't understand that....its an even number of cylinders in a straight line.... Shouldn't they both be equally balanced?
An I4 cannot be perfectly balanced because of the cylinder firing order. The engine suffers from a rocking couple that is more pronounced the larger the engine. That's why you don't see too many big I-4's........they'll rattle your teeth out.
