head light issue 85 300sd
I had a head light go out. So in changing it I found that the part the light actually sits in is loose, up and down. Looking at the other side, it appears that there is a mishing, or somthing missing where the holder attaches to the adjustment arm.
Any ideas if that is a part? what it would be called? or am I into getting a new headlight assembly? thanks Doug

The 83 has the "bushing" for lack of a better term
I am sure something is missing, just do not know what it is called, or if it is replaceable.

How about a comparison pic with the 85 so we can see what is missing.
Sounds to me like you will be making a trip to the boneyard though...either that or making the part yourself if you have the means to do so. |

I have it shimmed and back together. I will get so pictures tomorrow. Is it the leveling atm to the actual light holder on the other side. Guess I should just go find a used one. but I will post something.
thanks. Doug
