Question Any AC repairs easier with dash off?

Hopefully this is the last of my 'dash is off what now' series of questions...

I know the evaporator, but other than that? Im hoping mine is ok.

My AC is not working for yet unknown reasons. Its not imperative that I fix right now, but if its easier :-)

Thanks again,
dd

Maybe replace the vacuum pod that controls air to the center vents?

While the dash is out I would replace all the vacuum elements to the Ac system. They can be done with the dash in, but a difficult job.

If money is a factor Just replace the center vent element, it is the most difficult. All others can be done with the dash installed with just a bit of difficulty, but no where near the amount of cuts and swearing as with the center vent element.

Evaporator drain tube.

Check all grounds, clean and reattach then seal.

Temp sensor foam tube but do it with a hard plastic tube, it will last forever.

Dielectric grease, vaseline, paint, just about anything that will keep water and air out of the wire connections.
