Rear Toe In

I have noticed since the vogtland install that my rear end is toed in a good deal. The camber is pretty high as well. I planned on fixing the camber with 3 nub shims, will this affect the toe in as well?

Since the cause seems to be interrelated the solution must be too.

Yes. I think.

I think this will be my weekend task. You can drop the rear springs by unhooking the shock and the sway bar links correct?

winmutt,

To get the springs out:

http://www.peachparts.com/Wikka/W126RearShocksSprings

Its the same for a W123 - this is what I used to get my spring pads out. DO NOT get ambitious and try to do both sides at once! How do I know? hmmm....

I don't know how the rear wheels can get toed in - when I was swapping spring pads in and out I certainly didnt notice any change in toe in (by eye). Alignment guys said you couldn't adjust the rear toe in.

What does your rear camber look like?

Rear is pretty tilted 2' or more. Check this:

Looking at that it makes sense that the greater the camber the greater the toe in.

[edit]
Just read the links about removing spring without compressor. I will just borrow a compressor
