LCA Eccentric Washer Adjustment - Help!
Until I can get a proper alignment, I need to do something to fix the ineward lean on my driver's side wheel. I examined the UCA and the LCA, and the UCA looks fine, and though the boot on the LCA bushing is torn, it looks stable.
I loosened the bolt with the eccentric washer on the LCA, but don't know how to rotate the washer and adjust the camber. I've got the wheel off the ground, but am clueless about what to do next. Any help is appreciated. Theo |

Yes, turn the bolt
Yes the eccentric is welded to the bolt, so when you turn it with a big breaker bar it will rotate the eccentric.
Now the problem is, you really can't measure the camber accurately with the wheels hanging in the air. How I do this is to set the wheels back down on 2 pieces of linoleum tile (or 2 sheetmetal plates), with grease in between them. This allows the contact patch of the tire to slide as you adjust the eccentric. Also after setting the car down bounce it hard a few times to settle the suspension. The only problem with this method is getting leverage on the bolt, but without a lift or a pit it's the only way. Make sure you remember to lock down the nut after you're done.
