Problem fitting new evaporator in...bending the copper evap in/out pipes...
I tried fitting in the new evaporator i got from WorldPac tonight and it doesnt fit exactly.
As mentioned in dmorrison's DIY, it may be necessary to bend the copper pipes at the expansion valve connection area to make it fit. My copper pipes, specifically the larger one, has to be bent a lot and I am concerned about somehow damaging the new evaporator. For those who have been there, how much did you have to bend your copper pipes to get them in? Did you bend the bigger copper pipe a lot? Were you able to fit your stock rubber wall back in with the new evap, or did you have to modify it? Im stuck... Many thanks, dd

I had to bend the pipes about 1/4 of an inch or maybe a little more.
