Sudden instrument cluster failure
I changed my clock, adjusted it normally, but shortly after I noticed my fuel gauge is not working. When I restarted my car, the temp gauge was out. After driving a short distance, my tach went, leaving only the speedometer, clock and oil pressure functioning.
I'm baffled. Help!

I had a similar problem just a few weeks ago. I figured out it was a corroded fuse. I pulled it out of the garage and they were working. While I was closing things up it quit working. As I pulled out they came to life a couple seconds and then went away. No problems since a good wire brushing of the fuse.

I agree, check the fuses, also the ground and make sure the connector on the back of the cluster isn't lose.

Sounds like a grounding problem, like Craig said, make sure all the fasteners between the three cluster segments are tight and if all else fails attach a wire from one of the fasteners to a good ground.

Fuses!!!
Windows won't roll down, signals don't work now. Bought a fuse tester, and the entire top row of fuses, and the A & B labeled fuse is not giving me anything. The bottom row and the C & D fuses are. What's the chance I can find some fuses at this time of night? Is it a x-mas light effect or do I have a more serious problem? I'm searching for a fuse diagram, but am unsuccessful thus far.

Found a diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover.
How can so many go out at once? Is this normal, or am I looking at a bigger problem?

Its not the fuses..
I took a "bad" fuse and switched it with one from a functional area, no go. The same bad fuse worked perfectly in the other terminal. On top of that, the fuse box diagram does not add up to some of the bad fuses; the tach fuse is working, but the panel is not. So far, I've lost Power Windows: Those ports are inop. Tach: working fuse Intruments: working fuse Signals: working fuse WTF?

It's starting to sound like the electrical portion of the ignition switch.

Its amazing how a good night's sleep can give you perspective.
I noticed a nasty looking fuse and replaced it today, all is well. She's off to the paint shop.

Replace ALL your fuses
Though your fuses might look good, the older metal kind getting chalked and pitted, building up heat and resistance. Replace them all with the new copper kind.
