I can't believe so many people think the 140 is ugly! I love the 140, and have always wished it was available in the U.S. with a more trustworthy diesel engine in it. I think it had a great, "statesman's tank" look to it ... maybe the last real Mercedes-Benz as far as looking like one.

I think this poll should say "least beautiful" instead of "ugliest," personally. I wouldn't call any of them ugly, really. There are some I don't care for as much as others, but each has its own style and strongpoints. I guess I would have to say 210 or 110 ... although I would love to have a finny just because the fact that they look a little bizarre makes them kind of cool. I don't think the 210 is ugly by any means, but I don't particularly care for the "double bubble" headlights. The 201, I would not describe as beautiful, but it's very sporty and has its own attitude.

Heck, I can never even decide what order my favorites go in. 124 is always my favorite, probably since that's what I grew up with. Most days 115 is my second-favorite, but sometimes it's 123, sometimes its 116, or 140. And of course 126s (I like the 86+ ones better).

If I had to pick a least-favorite Mercedes stlye from across the board, I'd probably say the R-Class. Still seems like it would be a nice car to have, though, in the diesel ... a CDI under that hood would make anything a little prettier.

The W124 is kind of square for my taste.

I was never a big W123 fan either, I think it looks like a Volvo from the back and sides.

Blasheme!!!

Volvo--Very Odd Looking Vehicular Object...

I have to say the R class and the ML are my least favorite.

The KIA (Killed in Action) Avanti looks like a POS from the rear, and a drunken melding of a Jag and MB front end design.

So for it looks like I'm not alone in my opinion of the 190D's (201).

The 124 isn't doing so hot either.

I'm a little surprised the 210 is doing so poorly... I thought after putting out the 201/124/140 the 210 was a nice return to something a bit classier from MB.

The W126 LWB is too big for my tastes. The W126 SWB is too. The W124. Perfect.

I've always liked huge cars... even a Grand Marquis is capable of looking pretty nice to me, if the Benz is out of commission - I'd say the long w126 and the w140 are my favorites, followed very closely by the e300turbodiesel, whichever one that is. w210 maybe.

I voted for the fintail but if given the choice might pick the 140.

I still like fintails though, the pugnacious front makes up for the faux american fins on the rear!

I think the 116 looks retarded. The 123 looks so much better. But the 140, most importantly the rear is just plain ugly.

I voted for the W123...I used to have a 300CD and had to get rid of it because I felt like vomiting every time I would walk up to it in a parking lot...sorry guys lol.

I think my favorites are the W126 (which I now own) and the W140.

I think the 116 is so stylish, although I'll admit the US headlights look a little silly on it. I love a euro 116, though ... had such a wealthy aura about it.

This thread is a bad idea. People will get offended, and take it way too personal. Kind of like asking who has the ugliest wife, bans will quickly follow.
