Need a idle adjustment screw and locknut....

Somehow mine disappeared in my 240d!!!!!

Not sure what happened, the locknut must have come loose and the screw backed out?

Anyway, I called the only salvage yard in San Antonio that specializes in MB and they said they can't help me.

(This is the same junkyard that wanted to sell me a complete dash cluster for $100 because they couldn't part out the individual gauges - All Bimmers and Benzes in case comeone out there wants to call a completely useless MB junkyard)

Does anybody have one or know where I can get one?

Any USEFUL salvage yards for w123 in Central Texas?

Your going to have to experiment here but I would go to Ace Hardware and try a few options for the bolt since they have many metric sizes available. Once you find the right one, you should be able to find a nut to fit it easily.

..or just call the dealer, it can't be more than a few dollars.

I never thought of that! At least the dealer should be able to give you the correct thread size and configuration for this.

Great! Thanks for the suggestions.
My memory of the bolt it that it is tapered on the end though? Not a standard bolt with a flat end.

I will call the dealer and report back.

If it's like the 617.9xx engines it has a spring loaded plunger on the bottom to allow manual fuel shut off. I'm headed the the P&P tomorrow. I'll try to snag you one if it will fit. I'm not sure if it's the same on the 616 engine. Anyone know for sure? Here's what the 617.9xx looks like:
