Signal Stop trailer lights????
Can anyone come up with a plan for a 5 wire to 4 wire trailer converter. My new trailer has US type lights and my car has, well you know, five. I know I can buy one of these things for 30 bucks but I thought it would be nice to build it for 5 bucks. I'am sure I am not the only 300D owner with this problem.

What's your time worth?
Thirty bucks isn't a bad price to solve the problem....
Or, why not add an additional light dedicated to the turn signals? Jim

I'm pretty sure you can find them cheaper, try autozone, k-mart, wal-mart, advanced auto, et al. Very common item.

You can get those converters at autozone for like $15 or so...maybe even less...

um, wire it up, and put a diode between the turns, and the brakes... pretty simple really. $.50 parts.

So the blinker will stay on every time you hit the brakes? A little more complicated than one diode.

On our trailer we switched it to having LED Brake/marker/Turn lamp modules because of the lower power consumption. It was putting too much drain on the system with normal bulbs....especially since our cars already have the additional brake light mod. The LED lamps are expensive but are WAY brighter and will never burn out.
