'98 and '99 E300 Turbodiesels for Sale

I happened to read two ads this weekend for two late model turbodiesels that may be of interest:

- 1998 E300 Turbodiesel Black/Parchment. Recent dealer service.
$30,500 Call 908-310-2031

-1999 E300 Turbodiesel Black w/ Tan interior, fully loaded w/ CD, 39k miles. $37,500 negotiable. Call for details 570-655-4301.

The first ad was in a New Jersey newspaper. The second ad was in an eastern Pennsylvania paper.

All I know about these vehicles is what is noted above ( I have my own '99 E300). My only purpose is to share the info with other members who may have an interest in picking up one of Mercedes' greatest diesel-powered achievements.

Enjoy,

Ken

I have just bought a black 1999 E300 Turbodiesel and I can't imagine a finer car on the market. I can't believe how fast it is either! It attracts a lot of attention which is sometimes bad as it was vandalized last week. Some one kicked in all four doors trying to set off the side door airbags. I almost cried when I saw the car. Estimated repair is about $6,000. Hope you have better luck with yours!

Vandalism on 300D

You have my sincere sympathies DTF, it is heartbreaking to experience such mindless damage on a cherished car but ten times worse when it has just come into your ownership.I do hope that your repairer restores the car to exemplary condition so that you can enjoy it to the full again.

Thanks for passing on the info on the turbodiesels. Luckily, I came across a '99 with silver/charcoal, heated seats, BOSE radio,
and 24k miles. It was in the local Ft. Worth paper at a chevy dealer! had been looking for one for over a year, but was unable to find one for what I thought was at a fair price. Most were asking over MSRP, with some having lots of miles on them. I agree that these cars are simply the best ever made (diesel anyway). I hope someone who appreciates a fine car checks out those ads. They will not be disappointed.

Steve
