eagleco-94's old 280CE had an airbag symbol and wording on the cluster.. but... no airbag anywhere in the car.


power seats in a W123..... ok... wrong

Look at the pictures, that car is on a lot. The option list is just some sales person checking off boxes on a form. Chances are they didn't look at the car for any longer than it took to park it.

I used to sell these cars new, long long ago, in the early '80s you couldn't order a new SL or 123 with leather, but everyone still thought it was.

Maybe "Tilt Wheel" means a bad ball joint?

Leather interior was definitely available as an option at least by 1980 on the W123 coupes, as that is what my 300CD has. For 1978 models it might not have been available though.

no I have one already, it was just interesting to see the sellers option list.

My 83 240d has leather and my 82 300d has tex. MBtex looks brand new, leather is completely shot.

Since it's a 1978, power mirrors only arrived in 1983 on the right side. So that option is not true.

I always chuckle when the used car guys talk about how they have power seats, windows, and sunroofs. They all did...unless its a rare Euro.

You can tell they are marketing to the general public.
