I thought nightmares happened when you were sleeping

So I went to sleep around 12 am and my room mate woke me up around 3 with a knock on my door and saying Dan yours cars up in the air! I didnt really know what to think but when I walked out I saw my beloved Mercedes at a 70 degree angle. My street curves around to the left (the direction she was coming from) and she claims her brakes went out. Her Cougar scooped right under my Mercedes and totaled it. She admitted to me that she was going to fast. She was later given a sobriety test and was taken away in the cop car. Believe or not the afternoon before I got my new Colorado registration after my temporary plates have been expired since December 4th. Bad week end for me. But I dont have the car right now but am planning on buying it back from insurance if the price is right. So now I am on the hunt for a new Benz. I might even go to Texas or another more south state or California for one.
-Dan

Well I haven't seen the other side yet, but this doesn't look to bad to me! It looks like this dumb broad scopped your car up by the rear wheels and lifted it into the air! I'd buy it back and you might have to replace a couple of rear wishbones at worst to get it going, but of all the dumb accidents, this looks like it's the most hopeful for a positive outcome!

I have to say that none of our forum members have experienced anything quite like this.

Welcome. Come back again when you can stay awhile.

Looks a little worse than that, front end got crunched too with the weight of the car sort of propped on it like that. Several thousand, I'd think, in bumpers and assorted body panels to get it back to pristine condition.

EDIT: Just took a closer look and it's not quite as bad up front as I thought, in my mind I saw more damage in the hood and fenders area... but at the very least, you'd have to replace or straighten that rear quarter panel plus fix whatever got damaged underneath, and replace the front bumper. Not as impossible as I first thought... but it's pretty beat up, too.

No room mate of mine would have been able to take a sobriety test after telling me they wrecked my benz. They would be praying for a cop...and an ambulance. And nobody gets hauled off if they pass the test. Thank God she didn't kill anyone...this time. Betcha she's late with next month's rent.

That car really doesn't look that bad, probably needs the rear suspension replaced and mounting points for it checked for alignment, check body for twist, and repair whats damaged underneath, that's where most of the damage will be from her A pillar forcing it's way across the floorboard.

Sorry about your luck. Here are some desert sleds to inquire about. I'm not affiliated so be safe.

This thread is useless without more pics....... I want to see the cougar.

Clear this up, is the women that hit you your roommate or did your roommate wake you up to tell you a woman hit you? If she is your roommate have you ever hit her......but I digress......Inquiring minds want to know.

This accident seems to have ended up a little unusually. Do not be too hard on the lady as she only wanted to get a look at your rear end it appears. Not quite sure how she got underneath you. Now the fun with the insurance company starts. Welcome to the forum by the way as I see itis your first post. Best of luck.
