1981 730sd?

I found a non turbo 7.3L International engine today at the Pull-A-Part. With their pricing it would only be $130. I know it's crazy and it probably won't happen but could I put the 7.3 into my SD? I might just buy the engine and fix her up and run it in m garage. I mean for $130 its hard to go wrong. Whats everyone think? Oh and flame suit on! :

Your flamesuit better be good.

Might give some W116 6.9s a run for their money on the strip.

Can't beat the price... snatch it, fix it, sell it.

The non-turbo 7.3 only puts out something like 170 hp, so it would be a lot of trouble for not much performance improvement.

I'll second the fix it and sell it idea.

Might be OK if the block isn't cracked.

Yeah I was reading on some of the Ford forums today about the cracked block and stuff.

Only problem with the thing is that it's home is in an E-350 van. So that might require a bit of work to get out, but I think it would be worth it.

The horse power I can live with. It's the torque that I'm after.

If it don't blow black........take it back!

Speaking of 6.9s. That same Pull-A-Part has 3 of them.

If anyone needs anything, PM me and I would be more than happy to pull some parts for you.

If it runs pull it, clean it up and sell it. Running 7.3s are worth $750 at least.
