what's a good price for SDL front seats?
Looking at a set near my mom's house and they appear to be in fine shape...
"need pool noodle to really firm them up" but the leather looks to be same "palamino" color as mine but in good shape, and heated to boot! (gonna have to figure out the wiring on that one...) anyway, what's a good price, fair price, high price for a set of good tear free leather seats in correct color?

just pull everything.....
Easy. The best way is to remove the 4 bolts (10 or 13mm?) that hold seat to the floor and unplug everything.....leave the "onboard computer" INSTALLED. Unplug at the FRONT edge. All the seat adjustments plug into the "onboard computer" (seat memory board). There's a plug for the seat belt reminder device and then one or two plugs for the seat heater circuit. Make sure you cut the plugs off of the DONOR car leaving enough wire so you can reconnect the heated seats circuit.

I've used www.car-part.com for a guess-timation on used parts prices. Someone may know others.

Sometimes you have to negotiate unless the price is dirt cheap. Remember they are not perfect if you need noodles. I have a set in medium dark brown for a 126. Interior of car is perfect. Nothing marginal or bad inside at all including the dash. You really would say no one has used the drivers seat even.
Gas model with 176k on the clock. This is one I believe the milage to be correct or very close. Rust got it. Do not know what that interior is really worth but around 500.00 for it all might not be out of line. Not really for sale at present. Just trying to help establish a fair price in your mind. A lot depends on how much demand in your area as well. Shipping is rough on these larger type of items. Depending on your circumstances sometimes you do better buying the whole car if possible. In my case the whole 126 car was 200.00. I could not pass up the perfect interior even though I know the 3.8 gas engine is in good condition plus the automatic. Owner said he got high twenties on the highway on long trips. Remember our imperial gallon is a little larger. |
