External Fuse for A/C Compressor?
I was tracking down an electrical problem the other day related to why my stereo and A/C both decided to stop working in the same day. I replaced a blown stereo fuse (#4) and all is well with my music, but there's a little bit of a problem with the A/C compressor fuse.
The #8 fuse, which is supposed to control A/C compressor etc., is missing. The spot for it in the fusebox looks like the rear terminal for the fuse has been scraped or melted or burned off, and on the fuse identification card, it's crossed off and says "external fuse" The A/C worked in this configuration for a good while but seems to have blown, so my question to you all is this: where's my fuse! I've tried tracing wires and can't seem to find anything. I'm getting ready to rip my entire electrical system out and re-wire it for good measure, but that'd probably be far longer of a project than I'm good for anyway....
