Anybody use rectangular fog lights for reverse lights on a 300TD?
Just a thought as a way to save a little coin on the 300TD wagon reverse lights in the bumper. Factory housing measures approx. 5"Wx2.125"Hx2.5"D Creative types who aren't to critical may open up the hole a little and fit these which are 5.5" Wide. There are some that are 4" to 5" Wide so there would be no cutting.

If you are converned about the wattage I would just add a relay and keep the 55 watts.

Better back up lights...........
Had a street rod 40 Ford. Used a hidden mechanism to lower the lights from underbody when in reverse. Had 2 million candlepower back up lights. Used relay. Never had any trouble in backing or anybody run into me as the car was backed up.
