lights for instrument cluter

No matter what you do the instrument cluster in 123 MB’s produces inadequate lighting, has anyone thought about installing some kind of external lighting directly above the cluster to illuminate the darn thing? Any suggestions?

I replaced my dash bulbs with LEDs. Check out this thread, I have direct links to the LEDs in post #2.
