It worked the first time I tried it. Since then, I've had a few problems.

If it's still a free subscription it costs nothing to try.

It almost works for me. It seems to load 99.9% of the program and then I get a Java error (see attached screen capture).

This is on OSX 10.4.11 under Firefox.

Maybe you will have better luck?

I used to be able to run it on Safari not long ago. Now I get this same error every time. I have the latest spin of 10.5.

Any pc users experiencing the same problem? Hard to believe it's a Mac specific issue since the error is caused by a Java system.

For what it's worth, I just tried it on a virtual Ubuntu machine running inside VMware. Exact same error.

You will get nowhere. Extracts from their FAQ:
Q5 : I have an Apple or Linux or Unix computer, can I use EPCnet Online? A5 : We do not officially support Apple or Linux or Unix computers. We have performed limited testing and found that a newer Mac running OS 10.2 and Internet Explorer allowed EPCnet to open and run under internet Explorer, with some minor errors, however no guarantees of performance or stability are given. We have not tested with Linux or Unix. Q6 : I have Windows Vista, or Internet Explorer 7, or Java 6 installed. Why doesn’t EPCnet work (or work properly)? A6 : None of these versions are supported at this time. Please revert to an earlier version for proper operation.

ahh- but if we all bombard tech support w/ mac questions maybe they will listen to us instead of Bill Gates?????LOLOLOL!! right...........

time to buy a Honda?? i mean PC......
Maybe an old beater for the garage? then I could also run the entire FSM, instead of the partial version I can now use. too bad my crappy ol HP laptop got ripped off. I bet they threw it right in a dumpster, 'cause it took 17 special moves just to get it to fire up.....

Unfortunately, some places still haven't realized that MicroSloth isn't the only game in town anymore. Hopefully we're gradually changing that, doesn't Apple have the 3rd largest market share now? I hope that's true, and hope it keeps growing.

Whoever invented Java needs to be shot in the head.

It's only popular because it's easy to program. Other than that it's a slow, unreliable, and generally crappy language.
