Anyone made their own Blower Resistor Regulator?
Just wondering if it can be done? Mouser sells all types and sizes of resistors. From what I've read it's seems like the Blower motor needs simple voltage dividers to do it's thing with different speeds.
Voltage divider = 2 or more resistors connected in series. That's not terribly expensive is it? Probably cheaper than $400!

I'm sure it could be done, with the knowledge of each voltagew output to the motor.

The blower resistor and the blower regulator are two different components. Make sure you know which one (if either) is causing problems before you start reinventing the system.

As someone else mentioned, make sure it isn't the regulator... I don't think the resistors are likely to fail (though anything is possible!).

The hold down screws on my resistor pack have become loose and the holes are wallowed out, thus losing the grounding. I attached a jumper wire to it and to the fender as well as used a larger diameter screw.

Used speed controllers are available, and they rarely fail.
