What you need is a normal hood star modified with a capacitor that will blow a person 5 feet from the car if they grab it.

Then they will learn, and that MB star branded into their hand will serve as a reminder.

HMmmm. my dad had a problem with dogs walking by his 31 ford duce... he wired a oil furnace ignition transformer between a steel plate on the ground around the car, and the frame of the car... I can't imagine what the dog went through, but the neighbor couldn't pull the dog on the same side of the street as the car after that...

I've had that idea myself as well. You'd have to fabricate a gasket to insulate it from the rest of the car

I was amazed that mine didn't get ripped off the year I parked it at high school every day...

that is good but i was expecting to see a mechanism like bently's have, or a real badge wrapped in razor wire.

oooh oooh. that's a good idea! although, it would be difficult to keep the wire from scratching the hood... I still like the idea from another thread, attach a "toward enemy" mine to the hood star...

if it is wrapped tight enough then it should not cause any damage to the paint and will penetrate the skin easier

to make it more theft proof you should enegize that star, zaps those mischivous teen
