3,500 miles through the desert in a 300SDL

Angie and I just drove 3,522 miles from Portland through Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. I was a little nervous about it, given that we'd only owned the car for a week before we left. We had an amazing time, with much nostalgia on my part for the road trips of my childhood, and many new sights for Angie.

The car was nearly perfect. I'll be posting later with a couple small issues, but it really is an amazing ride. Accelerating through 85 up a 7-degree slope at 7,500 feet with the A/C on ... this thing just eats the road. Thanks to everyone here for your help and advice.

This is Angie with the car at Arches, and me sitting on a petrified log.
