om606 injectors... interchangeable with other engines?

I'd like to have my 99 e300d's injectors rebuilt with new nozzles, but I don't want my car down for a couple weeks to have them sent out, rebuilt and sent back.

I'd like to find a used set to send out for rebuilding. Are the injector bodies common with any other models?

No. Only the M606 engines used that injector.

Thanks for the quick reply!

So that means I'll have a heck of a time finding a used set. Do any injector rebuilders have an exchange program... they send the new ones, I send the cores?

Yep, saw that but I'd just as soon NOT have to pay $700 for a new set if I can have mine (or another set) rebuilt.

Look on the Bosch website and see if there is a Bosch shop near you. My local shop can rebuild them in 24 hours so if you had one near you then maybe yours can too. You just need to make sure the parts are on hand or available. No reason to send them out and wait weeks.

Also, I'd be prepared to spend at least $80 a piece for them to be rebuilt so it will be at least $500 for the 6 injectors. The $80 estimate was based upon an estimate I got from the shop to do 616 injectors and that might be low for 606 ones since the parts might be more costly. That price included new nozzles, lapping the joint if needed and balancing, BTW.
