K1 or Superior Kit ?

Hey guys , From all the reading I have done , I beleave I have a common valvebody flare problem as many of you guys have posted .
Before I go and waste my time changing the fluid and adjusting the modulator , I am going to order either the K1 or the Superior kit ...From the reading the superior kit will give me the ability to do more with how the trans shifts and hopfully take care of this transmission slipping between 2nd and 3rd problem .
I found the link to the K1 valve spring replacement . Dose the Superior kit come with instructions on spring placement ?
Thanks guys

greg

Checking the fluid is never a waste of time.

Your modulator is set to a value specific to your transmission. It really isn't something you set by "feel", despite what some might say. (But nothing is written in stone either, because you can purposely mess with it to get touchier downshifts - but that's for experienced tinkering.)

The superior kit does come with several pages of diagrams and instructions. The installation is not too difficult and the instructions will become clearer when you have the valve body off. It definitely cured my flaring problems.

I just placed the order for the superior kit K722A-D , I am hoping the trans is not too far gone , it only has 85K on it .
It shifts fine until 2nd to 3rd thats where the slipping is felt ...if I baby it and let off the pedal so it catches and once in final drive it's fine , even manual down shifts are fine ...I am hoping this helps , it's to earlly in the relationship for me to be putting a transmission in her ...LOL

Greg;

It would be helpful to the forum members to put your car model and year in your signature.
