Squirrel ate my interior

. Left the sunroof open to air car out like I normally do and a squirrel fell into the car. He ate at all the window trim trying to get out

That sucks.

Luckily, you can take those vinyl window trim strips off and it looks pretty good. Mine are removed since they shriveled up in the Texas sun. The fabric trim was toast - removed that to reveal the black plastic edging around the door.

Did it get out? Hopefully it didnt crawl into somewhere and die...

Ouch. Did he get the seats?

I'd have a new squirrel skin hat after that.

Oh dear - a squirrel thread on the diesel forum!

These guys are true little b*st*rds. I had one in our barn - chewed through the wiring loom on the tractor and the power cord on my tire inflator!

match result: .22 calibre 1 point, squirrel zero .

Cats, squirrels and racoons are the reason I never leave my sunroof all the way open, just pop it up... The only good thing about squirrels is that they clean up the thousands of acorns that fall on my patio every year...

This morning I looked out the window onto our patio (we throw out old bread for the birds/squirrels...we don't mind them...) and there was a HUGE racoon out there. I chased the stupid thing away. We HATE racoons, they got into the ceiling/attic of our house and made a total mess of the ceiling, had to rip it ALL out and clean/re-do it. We installed SUPER heavy duty mesh over the vent openings now...and all has been well. Stupid racoons. One got hit on the main road a block from my house last week....so at least there's 1 less.

We have a ton of Skunks too....the other morning one went under my car. It did not spray, but I was not happy.

A squirrel in the attic isn't much fun either. Not like a little roof rat that is quiet and a good neighbor.

If you like greasy meat then cook it up. Squirrel meat is very "gamey"-tasting... which most people don't like... but some do.

That must have been unnerving. I freak out when a bee flies in the window!
