722.315 models they came in ?

Hey Guys , I have a 83 300cd with a 722.315 , I was just wondering if the coupe used the same transmission as the sedan . I know there were a lot of versions of these transmisions .
I got a line on a complete 1984 300d sedan with low miles , I figured at the very least I could strip it keep some of the parts and sell the rest .
I would either do the trans or have it done , that way if mine dose not work out I have a spare ,the trans seems to be the weakest link of these cars .
Thanks guys .

greg

The tranny should be the same for 82-84 cars in the w123 series.

Not really....my trans has 271,500 original miles on it and shifts great. I change the fluid and filter yearly, makes the trans last forever.

None of our 3 cars have ever had an issue with the trans at all....and we've put a combined 120k or so on the three so far.

I assuming that from the amount of post on transmissions ...could be the most neglected part of the car ? I am hoping that changing out my valvebody springs fixes mine .
