Utube top seal keeps slipping out hints on install?

I recently took my utube out to see if there was any oil getting past the air filter and i found that the utube top seal was out of place it keeps slipping at an angle when i go to install any suggestions on how to keep it from moving during installation??

I cut the lip out of my U-tube. That allows me to install the seal on the air filter housing first, then slide the U-tube over the seal.
